Spring & Fall Cleanups in Rockledge, FL
Beds reset twice a year.
Two resets a year, timed to Florida’s seasons, not a northern calendar.
Pruning, bed work, mulch and an irrigation check.

Spring & Fall Cleanups
What you get from us.
Florida has no northern spring or fall, so we do not work from a northern checklist.
Here the year turns on two things: spring growth and hurricane season.
A spring cleanup cuts back winter damage, reshapes shrubs and gets beds ready for heat.
A fall cleanup clears storm debris, divides crowded perennials and resets beds for the dry season.
Both visits include custom pruning: each shrub, palm and tree cut the way that plant needs.
We haul away what we cut and leave the beds edged and mulched.
The work comes from a design-build firm, so the yard keeps its drawn shape.
What is included
The scope, spelled out.
Custom pruning
Shrubs, hedges and small trees are shaped and thinned once new growth shows.
Palm care
Only fully brown fronds come off. Green fronds stay on the palm.
Bed cleanup and weeding
Leaves, weeds and spent annuals are cleared, and bed edges are recut.
Fresh mulch
Beds are topped back up to depth, clear of trunks.
Perennials and grasses
Overgrown clumps are divided and replanted to fill out the beds.
Irrigation check
Each zone is run and checked for coverage as the season changes.

Our workBrevard County conditions
Timed to the Florida calendar.
The UF/IFAS Central Florida calendar says to prune in March, when new growth begins.
It adds mulch in April and checks trees for weak branches in May, ahead of hurricane season.
NOAA dates the Atlantic hurricane season from June 1 to November 30.
In fall, the calendar puts the last lawn fertilizer in early October and dividing perennials in November.
Rockledge bans nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer on lawns from June 1 through September 30.

Often done with
When should I prune after a cold snap?
UF/IFAS says not to prune cold-damaged plants right away.
Wait until they sprout new growth, so you can see where to cut.
Should my palms get a hurricane cut?
No. UF/IFAS calls the hurricane cut harmful and says it makes palms less able to withstand wind.
Remove only fully brown fronds, and never prune past 9 and 3 o’clock.
Can lawns be fertilized in summer in Rockledge?
Not with nitrogen or phosphorus. Rockledge bans both on lawns from June 1 through September 30.
UF/IFAS puts the last lawn feeding in early October.
