Landscape Lighting

What you get from us.

A well-planted yard should not vanish at sunset.

We plan the lighting with the landscape, so fixtures go where plants and paths need them.

Uplights show the trunk and canopy of a palm or oak. Path lights mark where to walk.

Soft light at steps, entries and patios makes the yard usable after dark.

Fixtures are tucked into beds so you see the effect, not the hardware.

Wire goes in before the mulch, with room left for plants to grow.

The two owner-designers set the layout, and our crew installs it.

What is included

The scope, spelled out.

  • Lighting layout

Fixture locations are drawn on your landscape plan before anything is installed.

  • Palm and tree uplighting

Light aimed up the trunk and into the canopy of specimen palms and trees.

  • Path and step lighting

Low fixtures along walks, steps and driveway edges, aimed down at the surface.

  • Entry and patio lighting

Light at the front door, patio, pergola and pool deck for evenings outside.

  • Water and stone features

Light for fountains, ponds, statuary and stonework built into the yard.

  • Beachside lighting

Low, shielded, long-wavelength fixtures where a yard can be seen from the beach.

Brevard County conditions

Dark beaches for sea turtles.

Mainland yards in Rockledge have no sea turtle lighting rule. Beachfront yards do.

Cocoa Beach and Satellite Beach list sea turtle nesting season as March 1 through October 31.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) standard is low, long and shielded.

Long means long-wavelength light, such as amber, orange or red, at 560 nanometers or longer.

Satellite Beach counts amber and red lights as visible lights on the beach, so shielding still matters.

Landscape Lighting, answered.

More questions? Call (321) 252-1620.

Can you add lighting to a yard that is already planted?

Yes. We plan the layout around the plants you have.

Wire runs through the beds, clear of roots and irrigation lines.

Do sea turtle lighting rules apply to my house?

Only on the beachfront.

Satellite Beach has owners there shield or turn off outdoor lights in nesting season.

Mainland Rockledge has no such rule.

Is an amber light enough on a beachfront lot?

Not by itself. FWC also wants fixtures mounted low and shielded, so the lamp is not directly visible.

How do I start a lighting project?

Call (321) 252-1620 or send the form. We reply within 24 hours on weekdays.

Lighting can be its own project or part of a full plan.
