Thirteen minutes down US-1.
The Suntree area is about 13 minutes and eight miles south of our office.
We take US-1 south, turn onto Suntree Boulevard, then follow Wickham Road in.
Suntree is not a city. It is unincorporated Brevard County, and its mail reads Melbourne, FL 32940.
In the two Census tracts around Suntree Country Club, the typical home dates to 1996 or 1997.
About 80% of homes in those tracts are detached houses, and close to nine in ten are owner-occupied.
We have built here: a front entry with a bougainvillea standard in a large urn and clipped hedging.
Agapanthus went into the same bed. We design and install whole yards here, front and back.

Local conditions
What Suntree yards ask for.
In the Suntree area the association comes first, then the county, then the plant list.
A master association
The master association covers 4,506 units and 44 sub-associations. Ask yours before we dig.
Review before the front yard
The master association runs an architectural review committee. We draw plans you can submit.
County fertilizer rules
No city code applies here. Brevard County has its own ordinance and a June 1 to September 30 blackout.
1990s yards, second planting
Homes here date to about 1996, so an original builder planting is now roughly 30 years old.
Services in Suntree
What we do in Suntree.
All eight services, with the same two designers on every project.
01Landscape Design
Front-entry plans drawn with association review in mind, like the entry we built here.
02Landscape Installation
Crew and materials reach Suntree in about 13 minutes by US-1 and Suntree Boulevard.
03Sod Installation
Sod matched to the grass already on your street, so a replaced lawn does not stand out.
04Irrigation & Sprinklers
Sprinkler zones re-drawn when a 1990s lawn gives way to new beds and hedges.
05Landscape Lighting
Uplights for a bougainvillea standard or a specimen palm at the front entry.
06Mulch & Beds
Clean bed edges and fresh mulch under clipped hedging, about three inches deep.
07Retaining Walls
Low stone bed walls and borders that give a golf-club street entry a clean edge.
08Spring & Fall Cleanups
Hedges clipped, beds reset and only fully brown palm fronds removed, as UF/IFAS advises.
